Changing focus person

I have version 6. I can change the person in the property box easily enough, ie jump back several generations, but cant figure out how to do it on the focus window, is there a way of jumping generations or is the only way to click up and down each generation in turn, i.e. son to father to grandfather, just seems a rather laborious method, sure there is a way, just can't seem to figure it out!

There are plenty of ways to adjust the
Focus Window focus.
An important aspect you have overlooked is the magnifying-glass
Focus icon that appears in many places.
e.g.
- Having changed the person in your Property Box, click the Display in Focus Window magnifying-glass icon in its toolbar top right.
- In the Focus Window select the Ancestors tab and click the magnifying-glass icon of any person.
Alternatively, double-click any person to make them the root person left and reveal more Ancestors.
- In the Focus Window select the Parents & Siblings tab, then by double-clicking on top row you can move back two generations at a time.
- In a Diagram or in the Records Window select any person and click the Display in Focus Window magnifying-glass Focus icon in main toolbar top left.

Furthermore, is it possible to go straight to a parent focus from a child focus - I realise that I can just mouse click on the parent to make them the focus, but I am looking for a way to go there from within an ORA auto type script? Just to clarify, I have just used auto type script to enter a new child to the family, and the focus is now on the child. I now want to rerun the script to enter another child, but the focus needs to be on the parent to do this. Hope this makes sense!?

How clever can the ORA auto type script be at invoking FH commands and buttons?
There is the View > Go To > Back command which is the same as the white Go Back arrow in the Property Box.
The keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+Left Arrow.
That will probably return the child focus back to the parent.
There is the blue Go To Parent arrow in the Property Box but that has no keyboard shortcut.
There is the Home button to focus on the File Root person with keyboard shortcut Alt+Home which would work if the parent was made the File Root before you started.

The keyboard shortcut is
Ctrl+Left Arrow.
Also ALT-V-G-B, using the standard Windows Menu keyboard shortcuts (press ALT to see the underlined letters in the main menu).

Yes, ORA is that clever for sure - has saved me many research hours of repetitive typing and data entry.
I’ll have a play with those suggestions, many thanks.

ALT-V-G-B takes me back to the previous family I entered - weird!
