Downloaded the trial for Family Historian V6 and purchased for Windows 7 64bit laptop. The installer placed the program files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Family Historian\Program\ folder. Curious, since have read that it is available in both 32 bit and 64 bit version (the LUA site):
Where Lua Is Used:
Family Historian
Family Historian is a deluxe desktop genealogy (family tree) application for Windows 7, Vista, and XP, in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Version 5 includes an integrated editor/debugger and API, which allow users to easily control and manipulate every aspect of their data, using scripts written in Lua. Scripts can also be shared with other Family Historian users as plugins, using the Family Historian Plugin Store, access to which is also integrated into the program.
To visit the Family Historian plugin store, which currently includes 49 Lua plugins, see
http://www.family-historian.co.uk/pluginstore.
Am I running 32bit when it could be 64bit? Anyone see it in the 64bit section of Windows 7. I ran some tests on FH.exe, and it appears to be 32bit. Is the marketing wrong? Have also posted question to FH support.

Family Historian is only available as a 32-bit program which, of course, runs equally well on both 32-bit and 64 bit Windows variants.

That LUA site quote is mistaken. FH is only available as a 32-bit program.

That was quick. Not that FH really needs any more speed than it already has. One the primary reasons I'm switching to it from Legacy Family Tree.
Thanks Mike.
p.s.- Also noticed Lua SQL is used, isn't it. Oh, and the Lua site somewhere noted,..never type LUA, sounds to awkward or something, supposed to type Lua ;>) I thought rather humorous.

Yes, but to me Lua does not look right somehow!
See plugins:index|> Family Historian Plugins and especially plugins:getting_started|> Getting Started Writing Plugins where you will find many optional Lua libraries listed, including LuaSQL, but they are rarely used in FH Plugins, except for the IUP GUI Builder.

But remember of course that Ancestral Sources is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

FH Supports answer was:
"Windows 7, Vista, and XP, in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions" The program operates on both 32Bit and 64bit versions of Windows, but runs in 32bit mode. The reason we mention 64bit is some users don't understand that 32bit programs can run under 64bit OS versions.
Minor point, but perhaps that's the way it should be stated in their marketing "runs in 32bit mode on 32bit and 64bit Windows versions".
