Narrative - Content & Index Hyperlinks
Hopefully I'm missing a setting somewhere but I'm unable to get Index hyperlinks to appear when exporting to an RTF document from FH.
Table of Contents works but not the index entries (existing, FH created or added by myself).
I located the following how_to:report_content_multimedia_format_layout|> Report Content, Media, Format and Layout article "Content & Index Hyperlinks" which seems to indicate that it's possible. I'm using MS Word 2010.
Any ideas? It would be really nice to have a hyperlinked index when publishing an ebook for family.

It seems you are absolutely correct.
I am sure it used to work, but I also cannot get the Index to become hyperlinks.
Maybe the article needs updating?

I am not in a position to test at the moment, but is it possible that either FH or Word need a setting changed, something like create hyperlinks or not as an example http://www.groovypost.com/howto/stop-mi ... yping-url/

Re: Narrative - Content & Index Hyperlinks
No, Jim that is something unrelated.
Here we are talking about hyperlinks within the Document Index not to external URL.
Google search suggests that Word Index hyperlinks have never existed.

Re: Narrative - Content & Index Hyperlinks
Thanks for checking it Mike.
I think you're correct that the article likely needs updating.
*I've read that you may be able to use a vba macro in Word to generate a hyperlinked index. I haven't tried it and it has to be regenerated after any changes.

Re: Narrative - Content & Index Hyperlinks
I think you are correct, but it has to be used repeatedly for each and every Index item, and does NOT utilise the standard Word Index created in the FH Report.

Re: Narrative - Content & Index Hyperlinks
I have discovered DEXter The Editorium IndexLinker.
It offers a free trial for 45 days and then costs about $50 or about £35.
Look at the download samples of a Word and PDF document.
Much of the documentation discusses creating an index from scratch, but chapter 12. Making an Index Table from Embedded Entries discusses how to use an index whose entries have already been embedded in a document:

If you give it a try, let me know how you get on.This feature is especially useful if you need to revise indexes for legacy documents that were not indexed with DEXter.
