I recently discovered a sister who was adopted into another family.
I have her down under her blood parents name, am I able to add adopted parents and how please.

I have moved this to the General Usage of FH forum where it fits better than the put the world to rights General forum.

You are allowed to link an Individual to more than one set of Parents to handle adoption, fostering, etc.
