Witness and notes in fact window

Post by mariong95 » 08 Jan 2016 18:44

I am a new user - 6.04 I think - a convert from TMG 8.
In the focus window, records pane I see a blue symbol (for witness I think?) and a yellow note symbol (for notes maybe?). Are these supposed to be links?
I am trying to see the witnesses that were imported from TMG and can't seem to find how to do that
And am trying to change a fact imported as "Christening" as opposed to "Christened" to read correctly in the sentence structure.
Thanks in advance for help

Those icons do indicate what you say, but are not links.
You must right-click on the Fact and use the context Menu.

If the Sentence says something like "He experienced christening..." then it is a non-standard/custom Fact.
Since there is a Standard Christening Event it is probably best if you convert to them.

So install the "Change Any Fact Tag" Plugin and run it.
On the left set the Fact Set to <Custom> and select your Christening fact in the box below.
On the right leave Fact Set at Standard and select Christening Event in box below.
Then click the Christening to Christening green button.
Choose Change the Rest in subsequent dialogue.

When finished, check a few Christening Facts to see if Sentence is now OK.

If anything is unsatisfactory then use Edit > Undo Plugin Updates BEFORE closing FH, and ask for advice.
