Jacqui,
Codeweavers released a Crossover 15.0.1 update on 13 January which might make some further performance improvements as it is the first Crossover release to include the final release of WINE Version 1.8.
Not sure if it will improve things as I use an alternative 'product' which made the final release of 1.8 available slightly earlier; and am now testing my Windows conversions with WINE Version 1.9.1 installed.

Some good news v15.0.1 of Crossover has been released. The Edit menu option is now functional. The downside seems to be that all the menu items are much slower to respond or so it seems to me.

Re: Edit tab causing freezing
Thanks Colin,
Just a little nervous about updating again but will try it as I would like some of the functionality back! My only worry is that when I originally updated to v15 everything was fine and then some time later it all went wrong. Hopefully it is now OK.

Re: Edit tab causing freezing
Have taken the plunge and updated Crossover 15.0.1 and the Edit button no longer freezes. Some functionality back but have not noticed that it is slower. Now I can't 'cut' to cut and paste in sources! Even if I manually delete when I close the source pane and reopen later the cut/delete has reappeared - who knew I could do magic
I must remember to be very careful about what I put in there as I will not be able to change it. Cutting elsewhere works normally. Hope everything is working well for you Colin.

@Jacqui: Are you talking about the yellow Sources For pane?
If so, then that does not have a Cut button, only Copy Citation, Paste Citation, and Delete Citation X.
Do you mean the shortcuts Ctrl+X and Shift+Del?
What do you mean by "manually delete"?

Re: Edit tab causing freezing
Yes Mike, it is the yellow Source pane. If I make a mistake and hit the delete/back button the 'mistake' disappears. If I then close the pane and open it again later to check the text from source or something in the note, the 'deleted' items are back! I have also highlighted text, clicked on the text, hit 'cut' (yes it does work in that pane normally) and cut out sections/dates/where in source etc. to paste elsewhere only to have it return after I have closed the pane. As I said, who knew I could do magic - if I could only perfect it for my bank account
I have always used 'cut' in the source pane with no problem whatsoever and can usually delete when making a spelling mistake, for instance, now I have the mistake and the correction all together. I think I will go back to v. 14.11 of Crossover, I know I loose some functionality but it will be easier to deal with in the short term rather than keep wondering what is going to go down next.
