To stay consistent with my source info, I like to create new sources based on old when I can. Like all the Visitations published by the Harleian Society.

I have reason to create a new one today (for Kent) and just want to based it on another I have already in my database.

I don't see where I can though. Have I missed something?

I'd like to:

1) Select a source. Let's call it SourceA.
2) Copy that source.
3) Paste that source, creating a duplicate source named SourceA(Copy).
4) Then I can edit it to make it my new source, including renaming it, something like SourceB, say.

I regularly use the Plugin "Clone any Record" to achieve this. It does not call it (using your example) "Source A (Copy)", but instead repeats the name of the source I copied. However, a quick Sort on Sources by descending ID shows the "new" record at the top of the screen.

You can also do this using the Automatic Source Citation pane.
Click the third icon from the right in the main toolbar (yellow scroll with yellow 'lightning'). Then click the Help button at the right hand end of the large yellow Automatic Source Citation pane, for guidance on what you can do in this pane. If you scroll down the Help you will find a reference to Clone Source Record.

I got the plugin. (Worked nice.)

I tried the Auto citation window. I did see the "clone record" feature. (Thanks.)

(But as I tried to find the record I wanted, to see about selecting it to clone, I typed in a letter, did something, and managed to crash FH to the desktop. )
