Microsoft Security message

Post by bruceernest » 09 Dec 2015 14:24

I have recently started getting a message from "Microsoft Security Essentials" every time that I start my computer telling me that "items detected on my PC require further analysis". The programme listed is C:\Programme Files\Family Historian\Programme\Fh.exe.
Do I have a problem somewhere? I have run virus checks etc. but nothing shows up.
The only thing I have noticed is that when going from the Individual Records window to a Relatives Diagram there is a delay of about 5 seconds and sometimes a "ghost image" of what looks like the Focus Window appears briefly before the Relatives Diagram opens.
Using Windows 7 SP1.
Any ideas?

More important than that I would strongly advise you replace MSE with a better Anti-Virus product.

MSE is not even recommended by Microsoft these days, and it fairs poorly in most Virus detection reviews.

I would suggest the free Avast or AVG.
