saving/using charts outside FH

Post by martin » 30 Oct 2015 17:06

I would like to place charts I have prepared in FH into photo albums (either albums of printed photos or in digitally-produced albums eg the likes of Photobox) also send them by e-mail to family. Printing is not a problem, obviously.
But can I save a chart outside FH, include it with photos for eg Photobox , e-mail it?

Regards, Martin

Martin, please use User Control Panel > Profile at the top of this web page, and update your Family Historian Version so it appears in the panel on the right of your posting, and we know which version you are using.

To save a Chart/Diagram use its Diagram > Save Diagram As options.

The best file type for sending to family is PDF File (.pdf) and use the 'fit into One Page' option as explained in how_to:creating_a_single_page_pdf_of_a_diagram|> Single Page PDF of a Diagram.

If digital albums such as Photobox support PDF then that is best, otherwise use PNG File (.png) or JPEG File (.jpg) file types.

Many thanks for this reply. Silly me, I didn't look far enough.
