FH version 6
I would love to see the end product of a project on DVD, but as a relevantly new beginner I find the terminology of FH difficult to grasp in all its help files. Is there a video tutorial available to actually see how a DVD is made ?
Regards,
billygee

Re: DVD
There is no video tutorial, but the how_to:make_family_tree|> Make a Family Tree CD/DVD or Website gives extra details, and step by step advice for the 'wizard'. It does no harm to experiment with the 'wizard' to discover what gets produced.
Initially the resultant files do NOT need to be burnt to DVD or uploaded to a website. They can be viewed in your Internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.) by double-clicking the index.html file in the ...\Public\FH CD-DVD\data\ folder or …\Public\FH Website\ folder.
To get an idea of what that might look like, see the links:index|> Member Web Sites for Family Historian. There is no major difference between FH versions, but sometimes you need to explore website options to find the standard FH pages headed with:
HOME | CONTACT | STATISTICS | INDEX
Beware that some websites are wrongly catalogued and do not actually have FH web pages.

Re: DVD
If you use the Wizard, you can pre-view the DVD as one of the last the last steps, and return if necessary to edit your data and remake. You can do this as many times as you wish, pre-viewing each time until you are satisfied with the result. Then you burn to CD/DVD
