Fact type like Emmigration
Is it possible to create an Event Fact type similar to Immigration/Emigration so that both To and From fields are included with appropriate code such that a Immigration/Emigration relating to another person can also be recorded in the same way. It would then read as "John Smith immigrated TO London From Jamaica

No, not exactly, because the extra To/From place fields employ a user-defined _PLAC GEDCOM tag that is unique to Emigration and Immigration events, and not available anywhere else. See glossary:gedcom_extension_list|> GEDCOM Extension List.
To achieve your objective you also need somewhere to hold the Name of the other person.
Se the info:mailing_list|> [FHU] Mailing List recent discussion on a similar theme: [FHU] Beneficiary in Wills.
As usual, there are a number of options you could consider:

As usual, there are a number of options you could consider:
- Create a Custom Attribute and use it Value for the Name and its Note for the extra Place, and use the {value} and {note} codes in the Sentence Template.
- Create a Custom Event and use two labelled Notes for Name: and To: or From:, and use {=GetLabelledText(%FACT.NOTE2%,"Name:")} functions in the Sentence Template.
- Assuming the other person is Emi/Immigrating along with the principal Individual, then try using a Witness to the principal Emigration or Immigration event with a Role such as Companion or Emigrant or Immigrant. This has the advantage that the event will also appear in the other person's Property Box and Narrative Report. See the Family Historian Sample Project and the Residence facts of Anthony Edward MUNRO for example.

Re: Fact type like Emmigration
It may be helpful to give exact context.
A mother emigrated from Jamaica leaving her only son, 2 years old, with her elderly mother.
10 years later (aged 12) the son emigrated as grandmother could not care for him any more.
I have both mother and son in my tree but I want to put an event fact in the mothers facts showing the date that her son emigrated.
Ideally I would like a Custom Event Fact: "Childs Emigration" with the Fact stating "Child Emigrated to London in 1998" and a sentence to read "Her child emigrated to London from Jamaica in 1998"
Presumably there is a good reason why a Custom fact like the Standard Fact Emigration cannot be created and called Childs Emigration

Re: Fact type like Emmigration
Whether it is 'good' or not, the reason is that Custom Facts can only be created with standard GEDCOM fields.
So one option is to create a Custom Event called Child Immigration where Place = London and Note = Jamaica. The Sentence Template would be {his/her} child immigrated< to {_place}>< from {note}> {date} {age} which is consistent with the standard Immigration Event.
Another option is to add the mother as a Witness to her child's Immigration Event with the Role of Mother. Then I think you could create a suitable Witness Sentence Template that works in both the son and mother narratives.
