Edward, welcome to the FHUG.
I have moved your question to the FH
General Usage Forum, because it is not about this
User Group site usage.
It is straight-forward to create a tree
Diagram of whoever you want.
Just select the descendant you want at the root of the tree and click the
Ancestor Diagram icon in the toolbar.
If you want fewer or more generations, use
Diagram > Options and change the
Geneations Up setting.
Individual branches can be hidden if desired.
Finally use
Diagram > Save Diagram As > PDF File (.pdf) and send that PDF file by E-mail or on a DVD.
Sending a matching sub-section of your database is more problematic.
It is actually easier to send everything rather than a sub-section, so I am not sure you appreciate the issues involved.
Do you know that FH keeps its data in a
GEDCOM file and its
Media in separate image files?
If you send even a sub-section of those, will the recipients be able to use them?
In many cases the answer will only be 'yes' if they also have
Family Historian V4 (or later) installed.
Alternatively, your recipients may have other genealogy products that they use.
There are ways to export
GEDCOM and
Media for many such products, but you & we need to know which ones.
Another technique is to upload your sub-section of data to an online tree in
Ancestry,
FindMyPast,
ZoomPast, etc.
Would you be interested in this method?
BTW:
I notice you posted
Restore deleted material (11368) about year ago.
I hope the advice given then helped you resolve the problem.
