English Dates on Windows 10 system

I've just upgraded my Win 7 to Win 10 and after a bit of difficulty I found and uploaded my current project. Seems OK except it seems to be using the US system of dates for bmds as well as when I last updated records.
How can I change this?

John, check the FH Tools > Preferences > International that explains how Dates are handled and how to correct your Regional and Language settings via the Windows 10 Control Panel, which sounds as if it has been set to English (United States) instead of English (United Kingdom).

BTW: All the general advice I have read suggests NOT to update to Windows 10 too soon, especially if currently running Windows 7. Let other users iron out the teething troubles for at least a few weeks.

Thanks for mentioning this, John as I upgraded my laptop today and I would have fallen into the same trap. When Windows 10 first opens it mentions settings and highlights that the language is ENG - it is only by clicking ENG that you find it has defaulted to US ENG and has not picked up the original settings. I doubt I would have noticed if it had not been for your posting.
I am not planning on upgrading the desktop for the time being until any gremlins have been ironed out but thought that I could play with the new OS on my laptop without too much worry.

Yes, I have seen a number of Windows 10 updates and they appear to default to English (United States).

A shortcut to the Control Panel settings is, as Brian says, to click on the ENG button near the Notification area bottom right. Maybe this will get fixed in later updates, so it is worth waiting a while before updating to Windows 10.
