The Publish facilities are excellent and offer a wide range of options. One question - is it possible to remove the date which is rather prominent in the top right corner?

You can generate the report and then on the right hand pane click on Options.... Then click on the Page Layout tab. About a third of the way down is a section called Header. In the field called Right-aligned Text you can delete =Date().
