Read only access

I have used FHsince version 3 and frequently sent copies of trees to relatives etc who could then download a read only version of FH. This saved f.....g about producing PDF copies which they could open. This now seems to have vanished. Why?

Could you please update your User Control Panel > Profile > Family Historian Version on this FHUG website so it appears in the panel on the right. [I see you have now done this. Thanks.]

The FH V3 Read Only version is still available from the FH website Download Archive, and from the FHUG Downloads and Links > Freeware.

However, I suspect you will have to export the FH V6 Gedcom in ANSI format to be acceptable to V3 RO version, because I think it will not accept the UTF-16 Unicode format used by FH V6. The best option is to use the Export Gedcom File Plugin and use the Family Historian 5 export mode in ANSI code.
