Finding second marriages

I'd like to create a search which will find everyone in my db who has married twice. Then I can follow up with either a death or a divorce search. I've tried to do this via a search and via configuring the records window, but I'm stumped. Can anyone give me any pointers?
Many thanks

I created a report to try to do something similar and to remove partnerships where people were never married, separated (& not married) or an unmarried couple. I think it covers all the cases in my tree but if there is a proper query to do this then I would be happy to see it :-

Create Individual custom query
On Columns tab create :-
Heading Spouse name 1 : %INDI.~SPOU[1]>NAME[1]. Edit this line by changing the Spouse # from 1 to 2. Click Add button. Repeat for Spouse 3.

Heading Marriage 1 : %INDI.FAMS[1]>MARR[1].SOUR[1]>_TYPE%. Edit this line by changing FAMS[1] to 2. Click Add button. Repeat for Marriage 3.

Heading Marriage 1 Date : %INDI.FAMS[1]>MARR[1].DATE%. Repeat as line above by changing FAM[1] through to FAM[3].
Heading Marriage 1 Condition : %INDI.FAMS[1]>_STAT%. Repeat as line above by changing FAM[1] through to FAM[3].

Row Tab :
Exclude if %INDI.~SPOU[1]>NAME[1]% is null
Exclude if %INDI.~SPOU[2]>NAME[1]% is null.
Exclude if %INDI.FAMS[1]>_STAT% matches Unmarried Couple
Exclude if %INDI.FAMS[1]>_STAT% matches Never married.
Exclude if %INDI.FAMS[1]>_STAT% matches separated.
Exclude if %INDI.FAMS[2]>_STAT% matches Unmarried Couple
Exclude if %INDI.FAMS[2]>_STAT% matches Never married.
Exclude if %INDI.FAMS[2]>_STAT% matches separated.

A Custom Query where the Rows expression is:

Exclude if %INDI.~SPOU[2]>% is null

may get you started, though there are probably more elegant solutions.

I'm a relative novice when it comes to writing queries, and willing to see better or more elegant methods.
Surely : Exclude if %INDI.~SPOU[2]>% is null will filter out all partnerships if a marriage isn't/wasn't present ?
Appreciate your advice.

No, it is not dependent on a marriage event existing. A Family record is created whenever two people (whether married or not) are recorded as a couple. The query is tesing to see if the individual has a 'spouse' in more than one Family record. It excludes individuals who have no second (or more) Family record.

If you do not already have a Family records tab showing in the Records window, set this up using Tools > Preferences > Records window and under Display Options set Families to Always show.

On this tab in the Records window you will be able to see all the Family records in your file, and will find that they include all couples, regardles of whether they have a marriage event recorded.

Thank you all for your replies - the indi spouse[2] is null solution is good enough to find what I wanted.
