Security of backups
Has anybody got any advice on how to encrypt FH backup ZIP files, preferably for carrying around on a memory stick?

Please use the User Control Panel at top of this web page and via Profile tab set the Family Historian Version you are using so we can give the most appropriate answer.
I have moved this posting to General Usage Forum because it is nothing to do with Research.
To answer your question it would help to know why you want to put the FH Backup on a memory stick to 'carry around' and why you need to encypt it.
Also rememebr that an FH Backup.zip does NOT include everything you need to backup.
See glossary:backup_and_recovery|> Backup and Recovery for full details.

Re: Security of backups
Quickest way is just to put the existing FH Backup ZIP file into another .zip file with a password on it. How you actually do that will depend on zip program you have on your PC.
