Is it possible to put a table into the notes field of facts?

It is not straightforward because there are no tab stop settings as in a word-processor.
Also you cannot enter tab characters directly into the Note and other long-text fields.

You must open the Note edit window by clicking its long [...] button on its right edge.
Then you can enter tab characters to align data into columns, but some columns may need more than one tab to get the spacing correct.

Also you may sometimes need to enter a few space characters to get the columns to stay lined up when you close the edit window.

Finally there is no guarantee that the columns will remain lined up in Reports.
See how_to:tabulate_multiline_text_in_records_and_reports|> Tabulate Multiline Text in Records and Reports for detailed advice.

This a bit of an old chestnut, and I've never found a good answer. This topic might not sound relevant but might give you some options and cautions:
resizing of Sentence box in Individual Properties box (12229)
