pdf files without colour

I am looking at the possibility of having my tree printed in a large size by a commercial printing company. Their preferred input is a pdf file.

I have saved my tree (All Ancestors and Descendants - Colourful) but the saved pdf does not show the background colour in the boxes for each generation. What am I doing wrong please?

Thanks

I have moved this posting to the FH General Usage Forum which is more appropriate.

If you check the Diagram > Options > Print tab, then Print text, lines and boxes in black-and-white only is probably ticked.
I noticed on my FH V6 that all the Standard Diagram Types (except the 6 Core Diagram Types at the top) had that option ticked.

So click the Installation Settings button and all PDF will be colourful.

Also checkout how_to:creating_a_single_page_pdf_of_a_diagram|> Single Page PDF of a Diagram that has much advice on printing large PDF, with links to Forum topics on the subject.

Many thanks for your prompt response. You were absolutely right about the ticked options, and selecting Installation Settings works a treat.

Before contacting the Forum, I'd looked through the topics in the Forum and did not find any which matched. I'd also tried looking in the "more options for generating pdf files" tab, and under the general help for pdf files. Both very interesting but neither helped to answer the question. I suppose that is a small price to pay for such an excellent program with so much versatility.

Is there any sign of "Getting the most from FH" for V6 yet?

The reason that option will not be found in PDF Help sections is that it is nothing particularly to do with PDF, but affects all forms of Diagram output to JPG, GIF, PNG, PDF, etc...

As far as "Getting the most from FH" for V6, that is down to Calico Pie.
