Facts in Property Box

Post by janefrances » 09 May 2015 10:52

I'm slowly getting to find my way around version six, but one thing puzzles me and that is when I see the fact 'marriage of Catherine Bloggs' in the property box of the father and I add a citation to it I don't get the asterisk next to the source record. :?

Thanks in advance
Jane

Here you are discussing Timeline Facts.

Individual Facts are shown with a blue bullet.
Family Facts are shown with a red bullet.
Timeline Facts are shown with a silver bullet.
In previous versions of FH these were only Child Birth & Adoption events, but now can include many more close relative's events as chosen by Tools > Preferences > General > Timeline Facts. As I am sure you know, these events actually reside in Individual records other than the current Individual.

The display of Timeline Facts is optional, as in previous FH versions, and usually they do not even appear in the yellow Sources For drop-list, which is probably why they don't get marked with an asterisk. The only time one appears is when you specifically select it.

I am not entirely sure whether the lack of an asterisk is a feature or a bug. Try asking Calico Pie.
