Focus window columns

Post by baw » 07 Mar 2015 19:10

I usually work with Focus and Properties windows side by side with the focus window showing Spouses and Children. It would be nice if the space for the names in the focus window were a bit larger. I don't use the Rel column feature, and wondered if I could remove its column from the focus window so as to provide extra space. I don't think I can do that; can I? Can I put it down as a "wouldn't it be nice if..?

(Really I would like to customize the columns. Or at least the widths)

(I'd also like it to remember the size of Notes windows from session to session too)

Oh. I've just discovered The Wishlist. I should have used that. Sorry.

Yes you can do quite a bit to get more text displayed, especially if you forgo the pictures.

Click the Customize View... pale blue link top right of Focus Window pane.

There are lots of tick options to play with, such as:
Parent Pictures and Child Pictures
Children's Relationship to Parents

Click the Apply button to immediately see the effect.

Parent Pictures and Child Pictures
That helps, thank you. I never thought of that.
Children's Relationship to Parents
I'd tried that, but by itself it leaves the column space in. You need to untick both Child Pictures and Children's Relationship to Parents
