Narrative Reports and Shared Note Records
I have been trying to modify a Fact Sentence Template to include the text in a Shared Note but no success so far. The Fact Type /.. / Edit / Insert Code inserts the Indivual Note, but there is no option for inserting the (Shared) Note Record which I have assocaited with the Individual / Fact. I have run a Custom Query and used this to create an Expression ( %INDI.EVEN-PSGR_LIST[1].NOTE[1]>% ) which, when I run the query, is returning the text I want to see in the Individaul Narrative Report, so I know it is retrievable but cannot fathom out how to do this in the sentence templates. I have reviewd the various Introduction to ..... for Functions, etc., but am still at a loss. Advices would be appreciated - I'm sure it will be obvious, but...... Many thanks.

Re: Narrative Reports and Shared Note Records
You can include data references within {} in a sentence template so adding {%FACT.NOTE[1]>%} to an appropriate place in the template should do the trick.
Search for Template Code in the Help File and this information is almost at the end of a page headed Template Codes.

Re: Narrative Reports and Shared Note Records
I presume the Fact Type that you are editing is the custom PSGR_LIST fact.
Does the Insert Code for Note that you tried give {note}?
If so that is not the Individual record local Note but the PSGR_LIST fact local Note.
To reference most other fields requires a data ref such as {%FACT.NOTE%} (which is actaully the same as {note}).
So {%FACT.NOTE[1]>%} should work for the linked Note record.
The better way to discover those data refs is to use a Fact Query where %FACT.NOTE[1]>% in a Column Expression should display the Note record.
However, there is a side effect for very long Note text.
See how_to:display_long_text_like_notes|> Display long text such as Notes.

Re: Narrative Reports and Shared Note Records
Thank you David & Mike - that has cracked it!. Now all I need is for Calico to get the Line Feed and Page Break formatting on Narrative reports to work on the Create Website / Narrative reports and I will be very close to a final cutover from TMG (the formatting issue has been reported to them)
Your point about the "long" notes is noted Mike although I don't think I'll be entering particularly long notes, but it's always good to know - thanks.
