V6 Facts tab List in Record Order missing
It may be my imagination, but I have just noticed that in FH V6 in the Property Box, on the Facts tab, the List in Record Order button has vanished.
It should be to the left of the Move Up/Down arrows, which are still present but do nothing.
How did none of us spot that before?

How did none of us spot that before? Perhaps because the time allowed for beta testing of FH6 wasn't perhaps really sufficient for the scope of changes from FH5? Just a thought for the future.

The Move up and down only work when you have Automatic reordering turned off. I believe the removal of the List in Record order was removed as the Timeline and Witness information are not actually in the record. As you know you can see the actual order on the All tab if needed.

Re: V6 Facts tab List in Record Order missing
I tried unticking Tools > Preferences > Enable automatic ordering of events/attributes by date and it made absolutely no difference.
In any case, if that option removes the List in Record Order button it should also remove the Move Up/Down arrows.
So there is a bug in there whichever way you look at it.
I understand that the Timeline and Witness facts are not actually in the Record, but that is no different to FH V5 Birth/Adoption of Children facts with a silver bullet.
It simply means that as in FH V5 the Timeline silver bullet and Witness blue arrow facts would be listed in a block together, and the Move Up/Down arrows inhibited for them.

The Up/Down arrows will still work, but only in some circumstances i.e. 2 items with same date.

Does that depend on Tools > Preferences > Enable automatic ordering of events/attributes by date or not?
I still think that the functionality is broken.

I have "enable automatic re-ordering" ticked. but the up /down arrows behave the same regardless. But only on items with the same date,no date, or an open ended date range.

You can click the Date column heading to re-order the facts.

Re: V6 Facts tab List in Record Order missing
I'm afraid not Keith, that only displays the Facts in Date order, but does NOT alter the order they are stored in the Record, which is often important in other scenarios than just viewing the Facts tab.
But that is not the point. The missing button allows Facts to be displayed in Record order, and the up/down arrows to edit that order, regardless of the Dates.
