Customised Tabs in Property Box
I have read posts made a few years ago regarding Customised Tabs in the Property Box in earlier versions of FH. What is the current status of these and what is the benefit of having them. If current do they work with V6, are they a Plug In and can they be removed

Re: Customised Tabs in Property Box
They are NOT a Plugin, which are only downloaded from the Plugin Store.
See plugins:index|> Family Historian Plugins for details.
Custom Property Box tabs are a fully functional built in feature of FH V6. They can be created, edited, moved, and deleted at will. They provide customised access to data normally only visible via the All tab, or to summarise a set of related data such as all Census Events that cannot be listed together in the Facts tab.
See fhugdownloads:propertybox|> Downloads and Links ~ Property Box for some documented examples.

You say they are a fully functional built in feature of FH V6, but how are they made available. Do they have to be imported from Knowledge Base first?

Re: Customised Tabs in Property Box
No, you can create them yourself from scratch by using the Property Box cog icon Menu > Customize Data Entry.
Having done that use the Help button bottom right for more advice.
As a relative newcomer have you look at how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers especially the Documentation. Now I know nobody ever reads the user guides but I advise you work through "Getting the Most From Family Historian 5" because apart from the new V6 features it cover most of the features, although the tutorial files themselves are not avilable for V6 yet.

Mike you can get the Tutorial Files from the Download Archive on the FH site, you just need to load them manually rather than from the menu.
