Go to Record button not always working

Hi,
I have scanned quickly through the posts and can't see anyone reporting this, but I might have missed something, if so I apologise for double posting.
I only got my V6 last week and haven't used it much yet, but tried to look something up this morning and discovered that when on the property box, navigated to a spouse and tried to use the "Go to Record" button at the top of the box nothing happened. This used to jump me straight to the individual in the full listing. It still works when I've got the full list visible, but when I have previously done a search and only a selection of people are visible, which doesn't include the person I am trying to jump to, nothing happens.
I have tried this in a couple of my projects and the same thing happens.
I'm not sure I like the way the full list cuts right down to the person you've put in the search box at the top incidentally, I liked seeing everyone off similar names on the screen, sometimes I remembered a connection or spotted a link that was useful.
Thanks,
Linda
