Excluding Attributes/Events from Reports

Post by British Kiwi » 01 Jan 2015 02:58

Me again. I have added a couple of custom attributes including the To Do custom attribute. Is there some code /plugins to go to each report and exclude them rather than having to open each one individually?

Thanks
Mel

I have moved this to the General Usage Forum as it is not relevent to Plugins.

If I understand your question correctly, this is covered in the how_to:create_work_in_progress_or_research_to_do_lists#housekeeping|> Create Work In Progress or Research To Do Lists > Housekeping advice.
See also the section above that about how to Create Custom Report for To Do Attributes.

To distinguish such Reports from their default installed versions, you may wish to use Save Report As a Custom Report Type and give it a Custom Report Name.
You would then view the Report using Publish > Custom Reports and select its name.

Yes, it has to be repeated for each style of Report. There is no setting in the Fact definition that allows you to exclude it from particular Reports.

Thanks. I have manually amended all the reports and I don't see myself at the moment creating lots of custom attributes. I was just looking for an quick way to cycle through each report and exclude an attribute with a click of a button :)
