* Diagram Text Scheme

Back in July 2013, Jane kindly provided me with this information for my diagram text scheme, so that if a birth occurred in Scotland, England, or Wales, only the short name would be displayed, otherwise the long one. The idea was that for a town in this country, only the town name would be sufficient to identify it, but for a town in another country, more detail would be shown.

Something like this should work

=ExistsText(%INDI.BIRT[1+]%,"Born:") %INDI.BIRT[1+].DATE:COMPACT% in
=TextIf(IsTrue(ContainsText(%INDI.BIRT[1+].PLAC%,"England",STD) or
ContainsText(%INDI.BIRT[1+].PLAC%,"Scotland",STD) or
ContainsText(%INDI.BIRT[1+].PLAC%,"Wales",STD)),%INDI.BIRT[1+].PLAC:SHORT%,%INDI.BIRT[1+].PLAC:TIDY%)

Unfortunately this does not seem to work in v6. The full place name is shown regardless.

Can someone help me to understand why, and hopefully get it working again?

There is a small bug in the contains text function, which I have reported to Calico, so hopefully it should be fixed in the next update
