Map Window - TimeSlider

Post by davidm_uk » 19 Dec 2014 10:19

Re this earlier thread Map Window (11924) I thought I'd start a new topic, as the issue with the Map Slider seems to have dropped off the radar.

Like David Keech I have no Time Slider control, despite clicking the selection button:

The time bar appears, and you can just see two rows of little dots above it. If I move the mouse cursor to the time bar between the arrows, I can then click and drag both sets of dots left and right, and see markers on the map appear and disappear, but there's no scale dates or actual sliders on the time bar itself.

I've tried having FH maximised or part screen, or the map window within FH maximised or part screen, or changing Windows screen resolution and size settings - still no map sliders.

Running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

Just to confirm that I still have the same problem. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium

I have never had this problem although like David I am running Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit. It seems to work OK on most installatons, so the cause must be something quite subtle.
I suggest you report the issue to direct Calico Pie in case they are not already aware of it.

I don't normally have this problem (also Windows 7 6-bit Professional).

But if I use Windows Personalization and switch to the Windows Classic Theme before I start FH, I do get the same problem.
Normal behaviour is restored if I switch back to a Windows 7 Aero Theme and then start FH.

AH! I'm using the Windows Classic Theme, together with the Windows Classic Start Menu add-on, so that might explain it. I wonder why FH is dependent on Aero.

Should I report it to Calico Pie do you think?

Just to confirm the same is true with Windows Home Premium. If I switch to the hideous Aero scheme the pointers and dates appear.

I've now reported this to Calico Pie Support. Will post back with any response I get from them.
