Hope its within the forum rules to post this (if not admins please feel free to delete)
If you are contemplating an upgrade to v6 its worth looking at the offer S&N have via their ebay shop at the moment.
3 months subscription to thegenealogist.co.uk free with the boxed full version.
At £36.85 vs the upgrade cost of £23.95 makes the subscription around £13 more - well worth it in my opinion

(I'm not affiliated to S&N by the way, just wanted to share the offer with you all)
cheers
Phil

Never used or heard of them before but they get a good ebay rating and have a non-ebay site if you don't like ebay or prefer to give all your money to the supplier rather than some to ebay, however looks like free postage on ebay.

and i don't think the direct site offers the free subscription, which for me was the reason to buy a full copy rather than upgrade

They are very well known in Family History circles and I believe that thegenealogist.co.uk is an S&N website.

Anyone contemplating buying this should check out thegenealogist website and what is included in the free subscription. The ebay advert picture suggests its 3 months Gold Subscription (its not specified in the text) which is the second level down and doesn't include a number of data sets. Again, as with most subscriptions, it depends what you want to view.

That would make sense - I'm currently partway through a 3 month Gold personal Premium subscription that came with another well known family history software package. You dont get 1911 census, but the rest is ok, although personally prefer ancestry.co.uk but havent tried find my past yet
For the extra 13 quid above an upgrade price it still seemed good value to me, and i'm hoping i can recover something from selling on the v4 and v5 discs on evil bay as i wont need them to upgrade from now

You don't get the Tithe Maps either which would be the only reason I'd be interested, much of what else they have is available elsewhere in one form or another.
Findmypast have a half price offer on an annual UK subscription at present, it hasn't been advertised anywhere as far as can be seen but someone on another forum came across the code by accident and they have confirmed it's legit.
