Thanks for that, Valkrider. Despite taking no remedial action, the next time I opened Crossover - FH appeared with an FH prompt displayed, and it opened. I then put the prompt onto the task bar whereupon it opened from that every time. But since restarting the mac, that prompt logo functions only occasionally - when it fails I'm told Crossover will not open due to error, but when I tell Crossover to open - it does. Then I click the FH task bar prompt and it opens.
Tis very strange and uncertain - I don't have confidence that I'll always be able to access. Something is amiss.

That is really odd.
Do you have a Time Machine Backup of before the problems started? If you do one option could be to go back to that. Alternatively, this would be my preferred solution, is to delete Crossover and start again with a fresh install of it and Family Historian. It may be worth hanging on a week or so to do this as Crossover v17 is currently on its third beta and so should be released imminently.
