Installation on two PCs
I have been using FH3 for several years and am considering upgrading to FH5. I intend to use it most of the time on my multi-monitor Windows 8.1 desktop but would also like to use it occasionally on my Vista laptop, for example when visiting records offices or taking an advanced user course. Does the software license allow installation on two PCs? I cannot find a copy of the FH5 license agreement on the website. Can anyone answer the question or give me a link to the license agreement?

PeterR,
It's O.K. to install Family Historian 5 on two computers belonging to the same owner.
Licence Agreement: http://www.family-historian.co.uk/licence-agreements
"The Software must not be installed on more than one computer terminal at any one time, except that you may install it onto 2 computers (and no more than 2) if both computers are owned and kept by you, and no more than one person ever uses the software at any one time."
I believe this was the same for all previous FH versions.

See how_to:about#licence_agreement|> Licence Agreement.
I would also strongly advise that you upgrade to FH V5 and convert your V3 data to a V5 Project before migrating to two PC.
See how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers to V5, especially how_to:v4:understanding_projects|> Understanding Projects and also the how_to:family_historian_migration_guide|> Family Historian V5 Migration Guide.
