* Illegitimacy - Assumed Marriage

Kate has a child Phoebe with Roy, but they never married. So I add Phoebe as a child of Kate, and then go to Phoebe's record and add Roy as her father. Both Kate and Roy subsequently marry other people (Lucas Madikane and Hayley Jordan if you are interested )and have further children.

The problem that I am seeing is that when I run a narrative report for Kate it says that she married Roy.

I've tried setting relationship to parent for Phoebe to illegitimate, but it didn't seem to have any effect. So how do I remove the assumed marriage between Kate and Roy? Or stop the report form saying so?

Apologies if this is obvious, but I am still learning.

In the property box for Roy you presumably have spouse tabs for both Kate and Hayley. In the Kate tab under the marriage details you will see a drop-down status box. If you change this to Unmarried or Never married you will cause slightly different changes to the Narrative Reports. Choose the one you like best.
