Hi There,
I am currently tidying up my source references in Family Historian v5. I started out years ago citing just 'Birth Certificate', 'Marriage Certificate' etc as sources, but I now want to have a separate source record and citation for each birth certificate I have, as I am now linking the Source records to images of the certificates which I have now uploaded as multimedia files,
So for example, I have run a query to find every record that has 'Birth Certificate' as its source for a birth event, added a new citation to a new Source such as 'Birth Certificate: William Allen 1837' and deleted the reference to 'Birth Certifcate' - so far so good.
However, having gone through the records and changed all the references, when I went back to delete the old 'Birth Certificate' source record it appears to still have one record still referencing it. Possibly I used a birth certificate as the source for creating a new record for a mother or father or something, but I can't see how to track down this last citation without trawling through each record individually.
Can anyone please tell me if there is some way I can find out which records cite a specific Source record please?
(NB I hope I have explained myself clearly as I find the Source.Ciation terminolgy confusing despite the fact I have tried to get my head around the article in the Knowledge Base several times.)
Thank you,
Sharon

If you click on the relevant Source record in the Sources tab of the Records Window, you can then use the option in the View menu to show Record Links....

Could you please tell us your FH Version so we can answer your questions more completely.
At the very top of this FHUG page click User Control Panel, then on the Profile tab select Family Historian Version at the bottom and click Submit.
Peter's suggestion will work, but you still have to find which field in the Record has the Citation for the Source.
If you are using FH V5 then the Plugin List All Citations for a Selected Source identifies exactly which field(s) have a Citation for the Source and clicking on them will open the Property Box with the field selected.

Re: How to find a record which cites a specific source?
Thank you both - I'm using v5 and Peter's suggestion has shown me the link. On this occasion, a quick look through the Facts tab has identified where the citation is made, but I'll have a look through the link you posted, as I still have to go through the same process for Marriage and Death.
Thank you both for your help.
