Saving screen layout

Post by rupertjw » 04 Oct 2014 14:16

I like to have the Records window and Focus window open at the same time (tiled horizontally). In FH4 the layout I was working with was automatically saved and reappeared when I restarted FH. After upgrading to FH5 this no longer happens and I cannot find a way of saving the screen layout so it reappears next time. Any advice welcome!

I didn't use that capability in FH V4, but have tried to save the Windows Tile layout in FH V5 without success.

So it seems that feature is no longer supported, either by design or by mistake.

You could try reporting it to Calico Pie support by E-mail.

Thanks for your comments and advice, Mike
I emailed FH support and they confirmed it was not possible. They would pass my comments on to the developers for consideration in a future release.

I agree, this would be useful. As it is, I cannot figure out how to put the Source Box under the Details Box, as indicated in the Help file.
Has anyone done this is v5.xxx?

If you are referring to the position of the Source Pane relative to the Property Box, then use Tools > Preferences > Property Box tab, and towards the bottom set both Position of Source Pane... settings to Bottom.
