Highlighting Records in the "Records" window

Post by mitcheip » 16 Sep 2014 13:19

Hi,

I am looking to transfer from TMG to FH and having been testing the import for data completeness and I'm now looking at the functionality. I have been through the FH book but can't remember seeing a way to do the following:-

I want to be able to highlight, (or change the colour of the text), in the Individual records window, probably based on a flag. I know that I can add Records to a Named list based on a Flag but that's not what I was trying to achieve.

This functionality in TMG is called "Accenting" which allows the colour of each persons name to be set based on either a Tag Type, (Event/Attribute type), or Flag. This then permeates through the programme so that any mention of the name in something like the Records window in FH or even the Facts records., (I'm not expecting Facts to be highlighted....)

I am afraid that is not currently possible.

The 'Flag' can be listed in a Records Window column and reported in Reports and Property Box tabs, but can only affect text attributes in Diagrams.

Again not what you want, but you can add flags to the record window columns, if that will help or use a Query result set. You can also define columns which are expressions so for example

Code: Select all

=IsDescendantOf(fileroot(),%INDI%)
Will put a Y in the column when they are an Ancestor of the file root.
