Restore deleted material

I am using Family Historian updated version 5. I have been inputting much material recently right up to 3 August. I have c 1900 individuals and c. 500 families recorded.
On 3 August 2014 I found that I my grandfather William Rowland was duplicated on the Focus Window so I decided to delete that entry on the Focus Window. The effect of that action was to elliminate William and all his ancestors (on his side) from the Focus Window and from the Ancestors chart. This was obviously not my intention.
When I look at Record Lists under the View tab I note that all the names of all the people (including all the recently updated people, excluding William Rowland) that do not appear on the Ancestors chart are in fact listed in the Records List.
My query is how can I reconnect/retrieve the material in the Records List to the Focus Window and Ancestors Charts.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Kind Regards

What you have done is simply broken the ancestral family links associated with your grandfather.

Usually the reason an Individual is shown twice on the Focus Window is not because they are duplicated, but because they have two associated Family Records, i.e. two Spouses.

Basically you need to somehow recreate the Individual Record for William Rowland and link him to his wife, children, and parent records that still exist.

Do you have any recent Backups of your GEDCOM file?

How difficult would it be to enter your grandfather details from scratch?

If you have not closed down FH since you removed the link and not done a lot of extra entries, just use the Edit>Undo option to recover the record.
