Also when I set up a source and enter the details in the text box, they don't appear in the actual text box in the property box, there seems little point in entering the details if I can't see them in the property box; I keep having to enter them again!

Sources
Where can I find all the details of the sources I've entered for a person, so that I can edit them if necessary.

Re: Sources
John, I have said you need to spend some time learning how to use the FH and AS programs.
I suspect you have been entering your Sources through Ancestral Sources.
Have you worked through the ancestralsources:index|> Ancestral Sources Tutorials?
These explain where the Source Records are located.
Likewise, the how_to:family_historian_documentation|> FH Documentation explains how to locate Sources.
I am very concerned that you are rushing on with adding Sources when there are problems with you having duplicate Projects, and unsure about where your Multimedia are located.
Is it possible that you are adding Sources to one Project and then looking for them in the other Project?

Re: Sources
I'm only using AS where I've a large family to record and I do believe that I've got the hang of entering the data and now saving the transcript in the correct folder.
For other sources, I just use 'add a citation' in the property box for the person concerned. Usually I have a source or citation already but when I look in the 'where within source' or 'text from source' there is sometimes nothing in either box. Therefore I delete the citation and re-enter it adding the actual source reference (eg page, etc) info into the text box so that I can see it.

Re: Sources
You clearly have not really understood the Source referencing process, so I advise you look at:
FH Help > Book: Getting the Most From Family Historian 5 especially Chapter 12 Recording Your Sources.
glossary:sources|> Using Sources
how_to:recording_details_from_a_birth_certificate|> Entering from a Birth Certificate
ancestralsources:tutorial:census:examine_family_historian|> Ancestral Sources Tutorial ~ Enter Census ~ (7) Examine Family Historian
The fields you are looking at are NOT Source Record fields, but Citation fields.
You need to click the yellow triangular Go To Source Record button at centre right of the yellow Sources pane.

Checkout glossary:animated_tutorials|> Glossary > Animated Tutorials that lists all the videos.
