Look up BMD events

Post by susanpenter » 28 Jun 2014 20:02

Apologies if this already exists and I can't find it for looking but - I really love the look up census facts plug in and wondered if there was something similar for BMD events using Ancestry or similar.

Thanks
Susan

Hi Susan.
Could you please use the User Control Panel at the very top of this page, and on its Profile tab set your Family Historian Version so it appears on the right of your posting.

I'm afraid there is no such BMD Plugin, partly because the search criteria are rather more difficult.
With Census Events, once the Country is defined, the event Dates are all known.
With BMD Events the Dates are unknown unless you have already found a Source.
So a Plugin would only work if there was already at least a small Date Range for each event.

There are some Queries that can help in fhugdownloads:queriesindi|> Downloads and Links ~ Query Type: Individual.
In particular the ones starting with BMD ... and England and Wales GRO ... and Missing ...
