Multimedia

Post by tmwgray » 18 Jun 2014 09:43

After a PC crash I have managed to recover most of my data.
The problem I am now faced with is that the multimedia files in any individuals window are out of sequence.
I save multimedia file with year included in the file name ie "1901 census for Joe Blogs or 1888 Birth Joe Blogs etc.
When I look at them in the individual window they are all our of sequence and cannot be moved using the + or - tabs.
If i recall before my PC crash they all appeared in date order or could be moved up or down by using the + or - tabs.

Is there a setting I need to change to accomplish this.
Grateful for any help.

Version 5.09 on Win 7 system.

Sorry about that Tom.
There is no option to adjust the Media feature you describe, so I wonder if the data has been recovered correctly.

Could you explain in detail how you recovered your data.
Is it an FH Project or standalone GEDCOM?
Did you use FH Backups or some other form of backups?

Are you attaching the media to the Individual rather than to the Fact or Source, if so are you looking at the Multimedia tab on the Property box, there is no such thing as individual window?

If so just click on the title or date header to sort by it. If you use the preference numbers you can also sort by that column.
