Privacy Flags

Post by GeneHunt59 » 29 May 2014 11:34

Hi,

I have looked at the privacy flag options, and as far as I can tell, you can either stop a peron appearing in a diagram altogether, or include the person, but hide data, such as date of birth.

I want to include people with a privacy flag in my published family trees, but only show that they are children of x & y, plus whether they are male, or female - no other details.

Is this possible, and have I missed something somewhere?

Many thanks for any help
Alan

Your first sentence is correct. You can include any person but hide any data.
I suggest you clone a custom copy of text scheme that displays the data you want to show for non-private people.
Then edit each text item so that it is conditional on the Private flag not being set.
The default colour scheme identifies the persons sex, but if you have hidden absolutely everything including Name then you can either set some other box feature to identify sex or include text to say Male or Female that is conditional on the Private flag being set.

BTW: Please click User Control Panel at top of this FHUG page and on Profile tab set your Family Historian Version.
This allows us to help you for your FH version without having to ask.
