The 1911 census includes the very useful information regarding the length of the marriage, number of children born to it, number surviving and number died.
I am recording this information via ancestral sources but wondered if other users had any recommendations as to how they record it so that it can be a useful and identifiable resource?

Re: Recording 1911 census details of marriage
I use a number of techniques that together allow the details to be searched, analysed, and included in Reports.
(1) Details recorded in the Text From Source field of Source Record. (2) I have created two Custom Family Facts for Years Married and Child Census.
(3) The AS Census Template allows local Note text to be automatically appended to the Census Fact.

Re: Recording 1911 census details of marriage
For me - the information is recorded in the source text and also the multimedia that is attached and so is readily available. Of course another aspect to your 'how can you record it so it can be useful' question is that the number of years married can help to estimate a year of marriage if that is unknown. Also the number of children born and died can sometimes help to identify which particular children died and point to a range of years when they did so.
Re: Recording 1911 census details of marriage
Thank you both for your replies and sorry for the lateness of my own. An unexpected diversion has kept me away from family history for the last couple of weeks.
I use Ancestral Sources for all new entries and I am in the process of redoing those I entered 'manually' prior to adopting AS. It was this that got me thinking about best practice for recording this detail. Nick points to the useful information it contains regarding likely marriage date and deceased and living children of the marriage.
Tatewise's suggestions are useful and I think I may adopt something similar. Time to have a play with this.
Thanks to you both

Mike/Nick
Having had a play round with this I like it a lot - but then there is a lot to like about Ancestral Sources and its flexibility.
The only problem with AS is the more I learn the more tempted I am to scrap all my sources and start from scratch!
Best wishes
