* Modifying Record & changing Parent

I have noticed one of the records had their first name as their last name in the records window i.e says May (surname), Georgia, Royle whereas it should say Georgia May Royle (surname). I open up the record and change accordingly but in the records windows still lists the sibling under May instead of Royle. What have I done wrong?

Also is it possible to delete a sibling from a parent where the info has been put into the wrong individual.

The "/" characters determine the Surname, irrespective of position in the name.

You will probably find that fr some reason you have Georgia / May / Royle instead of Georgia May / Royle /.

Thanks John that's sorted. just the question about the deletion of a child now to be answered

In the Focus Window ensure the Parents are displayed in the Spouses & Children tab with the children listed below.

Right click on the offending child with the wrong Parents and choose Unlink Record if you want to retain the child's Individual Record perhaps to link it to the correct Parents.

Otherwise, choose Delete Record and it will be unlinked and deleted after a dire warning message.
