Are there any good examples of website exports?

Post by szb100 » 17 Mar 2014 20:57

I have been playing around with the website export settings and wondered if there is a gallery anywhere of exported websites which may serve as inspiration as to what is possible using FHv5.
If such a thing does not exist and you are reading this with an example you are willing to share, perhaps you could post the link?
Clearly, I imagine many will look similar, however I'm sure people will be pushing the boundaries with the export configuration occasionally...

Also checkout how_to:make_family_tree|> Make a Family Tree CD/DVD or Website especially the Tips and Tricks and Popups section amongst which you will find the Improve Website or CD DVD HTML Plugin.

P.S. I've moved this to the General Usage Forum because, as its description says, the Importing and Exporting Forum is for
Importing from or exporting to another genealogy program.

Thanks folks (and apologies for filing in wrong place!)
I also found a Google search for "created with Family Historian 5" helpful.
It seems the more impressive sites involve quite a bit of crafting outside of family historian, perhaps unsurprisingly. If anyone knows of any particularly good sites that just use FH I'd be interested in seeing them.

In the Member Web Sites most of those listed under Family Historian Version V5 are produced just with FH V5.
If you follow the links, those that only mention FHVersion5 at bottom right are pure FH V5 constructions.
Unfortunately, several at the top don't meet that criteria.

If you start at the penultimate entry in the list and work up you will find most are typical FH V5 websites.

BTW: Can you use User Control Panel centre top and Profile to set Family Historian version to V5, then you don't have to say which version you are using.

This tree was built just using FH5.

Steve, could you add that one to the links:index|> Member Web Sites or would you prefer me to do it for you?
