Customize template of new records

Is it possible to personalize the primitive tags are created when add a new record?
For example that "Short Title" (ABBR) in any new Source... I NEVER use it and I always have to delete it after creation of a source!
Maybe the plugin "Clone Any Record" can do that (didn't try since I'm still in trial version..), but anyone knows how can I customize the basic model of a record?

There is no need to delete unused
Tags such as
ABBR, because they get automatically deleted after the
Project is
Saved, when it is next
Opened.
Yes, one of the main uses of the
Clone Any Record Plugin is to copy one of several template records with default settings.
So you could set up some
Source Records with say
Type,
Author, and
Repository completed, plus perhaps some preset headings in
Source From Text, etc.
Then use
Clone Any Record instead of
Add > Source.
The Plugin Store description says:
Creates a clone of a selected record.
Useful for creating new records (e.g. sources) based on a template.
It is best to add this plugin to the Tools menu and run it from there after selecting the required "Template" record in the Records Window.
A message confirms what new record has been created and full details are shown as a result set.
You then need to change the name/title of the new record and complete any required non-template fields.
The template record can contain blank fields if wanted, and links to other records.
User is prompted to confirm that an Individual or Family record should be cloned.
Note that if an Individual record is cloned the new record will contain an empty Family-as-Spouse link which can be either appropriately completed or deleted.
Although you cannot use Plugins during the V5 trial you can still look up their description in the
Plugin Store.

How much time wasted deleting empty fields!
