I have transferred my family tree to an new computer, everything working okay except for the djvu files of the 1911 census. I have re downloaded djvu but the images on my family tree are just showing a box with a cross. I entered these census images and the information through Ancestral Sources. Is there a quick way of rectifying this problem or have I got to delete the whole census information off my tree and re-enter it again with every one.
Any imformation and help would be appreciated, thanks, Marilyn

Re: DJVU 1911 CENSUS IMAGES
You won't need to re-enter any of the census information, it it just a question of finding out why those particular images ar not displaying correctly.
I don't think FH can display djvu files directly but if you have an appropriate viewer installed you should be able to click on the triangle symbol in the multimedia window toolbar to open them.
However, box with a cross in it indicates that FH cannot find the files, because it is looking in the wrong place. Is it possible that they did not get transferred to the new computer? Use Tools > Work with External File Links to see what file path FH has for the files. You can then either move the files to that location or change the file path so that FH knows where they currently are, if they are on the new computer.
Another possibility is that you had previously converted the djvu files to Jpg (or some other standard image format) so FH is looking for jpg files, but you have only moved the djvu files to the new computer.

Re: DJVU 1911 CENSUS IMAGES
I have moved this to the FH General Usage Forum because it is not an Ancestral Sources problem.
I think Lorna has covered all the angles.
Marilyn, are the DJVU images the ONLY images that are not displaying correctly?
It sounds from your question that all the other images are OK. - Please confirm.
Is this a follow on from your earlier posting Flags and Diagrams (11049) about moving from PC to PC?

Sorry just logged on, had trouble with internet yesterday. Yes the djvu files are the only ones not to display, all the other images are fine.
I will get my other half to have a look at the above reply and see if he can sort it for me, he is more computer and technically minded than me lol.
Thanks for your help
Marilyn
Oh and yes, think we sorted the other problem since transferring from computer to computer, this is a new one I found.
