Finding a woman, when you don't know her maiden name

Post by candessa » 04 Jan 2014 05:10

Hi,
I'm new to this, so be gentle with me, please.
If I'm looking for someone called Margaret, [maiden surname unknown], and all I have is her
birth and death years, is there a search I can do, to find her?
I'm using V5
thanks
Candessa

You need to be a bit more explicit with your question.

Do you mean in your Family Historian database or on-line or where?

Hi Candessa

I am assuming this is research enquiry rather than one relating to the use of Family Historian. Sorry if I am wrong!

There are a number of methods for discovering a woman's maiden name but they depend on location and time period. If you can tell us when and where this lady was born and died I am sure someone will be able to suggest some avenues for you to explore.

Barbara
