Getting the most from F.H.

I am using 'the book', Getting the most from F.H. which has been sent to my PC in large print.
I can read the print on screen without too much difficulty but when I try to print the resulting text is significantly smaller and I can only read it with the aid of a magnifying glass .
I am most interested at the moment in trying to get to grips with Ch. 11,scaling & printing diagrams; Ch 12, recording your sources; Ch. 13,introduction to queries and Ch14, writing custom queries.
Whilst I appreciate that a larger print will be more pages I do not mind this. Is it possible please for me to have larger print than I have at present for these 4 chapters? Or to be told how I can enlarge them?
Thank you for your time
Ron

Ron,
Unfortunatley the PDF version of the book has fixed pages so the only way to print it out with large lettering would be to print it on very large sheets of paper. However, it looks as if you asked the same question back in 2010 (under a slightly different user name). See this topic:

At the end of that thread Jane said she had contacted Calico (the authors of Family Historian) for you, and they probably sent you something because she asked you to check your email. Perhaps at that time she had arranged for them to send you a special version of the book with free-flowing text so that you could enlarge the font to a suitable size. That was back in the days of version 4, but they may be able to do the same for version 5.

They have already created a Large Font PDF (14 pt) version for V5 and it is available to everyone in the how_to:family_historian_documentation|> Family Historian Documentation.
This version should print at 14pt, but if that is still too small for you I am not sure what to suggest.

Thank you Lorna and Mike for all the time that you have spent on my behalf; and I am truly sorry for being such a nuisance which is of little benefit, if any, to other users.
I have found a print out of chapter 12 on version 4. I am able to read it. What I would like to ask is can I transfer from v5 to v4 and would I be able to download the large print format which Jane obtained fo me from Calico Pye, and which I no longer have.
I do not mind if I have to repurchase v4 as long as I can read the print out.
I shall be most pleased to receive any comment from either or both of you.
The only other solution as I can see is to shop around until I can find something to read. I DO NOT WANT TO UNSUBSCRIBE.
Thank you for your time and many apologies to other readers who must be fed up with this saga.
Ron

Ron,
I have already sent you a 20pt version of the book, is that what you lost?
I have attached it here again. Please put it somewhere safe so you don't lose it.

Hello Jane
I have just returned from a not so dirty weekend and found this wonderful early Xmas present. Thank you so much for the 20 point Jane. If only I knew where you lived I would send you a bunch of flowers or something.
It is only people like me, partially sighted, who can appreciate the time and effort that you must have put in to get this new extra large print book to me.
I do feel that the program is miss-named; it should not be Family Historian but rather "The Family" because members try to help out especially the help given to beginners
I have printed out chapter 12 and it seems as if I have been given a new pair of eyes and later today I shall get acquainted with Mr Cameron Peabody and family. Congratulations to you and all the other members for a wonderful service

Hear, hear. We probably don't say this often enough to all the people who make this user group such a helpful resource for Historian users, especially Jane, Mike and Lorna.
