I have a number of birth certificates which I want to record as sources and I am following the tutorial in Chapter 12 of the book 'Getting the Most From Family Historian'.
It states in the book that when the source has been created, and with Auto-Citation Enabled you can click in any of the fields on the Main tab (Name, Birth etc) and when you tab away from the field, the citation will be created.
However, when I try this, the citation is not created, and I have to use the copy citation method. I should point out that the individuals I am creating sources for already exist in FH, so my question is: does the method outlined in the book only work for new data, and not data which is already entered?
Thanks for any help.
