Does anyone else get a problem with this version of FH crashing when trying to delete an entry such as a Note?

I have not heard of any crash problems with 5.0.9

Is there any pattern to the crashes or any additional information shown when it crashes?

If you can post a sequence which causes a crash I can try and reproduce the error so we can report it to Calico.

Jane

The program just freezes instead of saying 'The selected field will be deleted' then says it has to close. It doesn't happen every time but next time it does I will let you have more details.

Regards

Simon

It might be worth running the validation option over your file, just in case it's something odd in your file causing the problem.

When you say the program freezes, do you mean it says Not Responding on the header bar at the top of the main window?
When the option to Close or Wait pops-up there is the ability to expand the details, which you can Copy & Paste in plain text.
The only times I get such problems is under certain circumstances, when running certain Plugins, and Calico Pie are aware of this.

Could you guys please be a bit more precise about 'crashes'.
What exactly are the error symptoms?
What does the error message say?
If possible post a screen-shot image of the error.

There is an entry in the Knowledge Base about that one.
One way of getting to it is to Search for stopped working.
The direct link is Error: Family Historian Stopped Working where various causes and solutions are offered.
The most probable is the DEP (“Data Execution Prevention”) scenario with a solution on the FH website.
