Dealing with the thousands of similarly-named individuals in my One-Name Study, I sometimes discover that I've inadvertently combined two separate folk into a single entry. Most commonly, this happens when an individual marries and leaves home, and then becomes confused with somebody of the same name, age, place of birth, etc.
Currently, I create a second individual and then move the appropriate facts and attributes from the original to the copy, one at a time. My question: is there an easier way? Could a plugin do this job: divide individual X into the existing X and a new Y, where X retains data prior to a given date, and Y receives data after that date?

Splitting an individual
Yes it could, it would probably need to be slightly more complex to handle Family Links, but it's not horrendously complex.
